Selena Gomez’s Stylist Spills On Her Chic MTV Movie Awards Dress & Her Sexy Billboard Awards Look!

Selena Gomez was always adorable, but this past year the star has had a stellar style game — just look at the chic Giambattista Valli mini she wore to the MTV Movie Awards, and the sexy Dolce & Gabbana gown she chose for the Billboard Awards! So, how does Selena decide when she wants to go for something sweet or sexy? “We like to separate when she’s promoting a movie as a pose to being a musician. When she’s representing herself as an actress we opt for classic, pretty looks, we like to keep it clean and let the outfit speak for itself,” Basia Richard, Selena’s stylist, told us.

Even from a couple of weeks ago I was anxious to see it. She definitely wanted to come across as an actress and I wanted to see her in something classic and minimalistic, you know she’s always going back and forth. I absolutely knew it was the one I wanted to see her wearing.”

While Selena looked so sophisticated and chic, her Dolce & Gabbana gown at the Billboard Music Awards just a few weeks earlier gave off a totally different vibe! Selena owned the red carpet when she stepped out in the sexy dress, complete with cutouts and a slit — and it turns out the cutouts were added at the request of the petite popstar!

“Initally the dress came with no cutouts and Selena really loved it, but we felt like something was missing so we decided to add the custom cutouts to make it even more glamorous. It was mainly Selena’s idea and we decided to take a chance. We loved it and she was so happy. She loved it so much and the confidence came out it was a completely different dress for us, she owned it!”

Perhaps having adjusted to the idea of Justin Bieber dating Selena Gomez, Bieber obsessives have found something new to fixate on while Bieber vacations in Hawaii with Gomez.

Some paparazzi shots of a shirtless Bieber have revealed that the 17-year-old pop star is sporting what appear to be two tattoos: one on his waist -- a tiny bird's head -- and one on his ribcage -- the word "Yeshua," or Jesus, written in Hebrew, according to The Daily.

While we don't know the intentions behind Bieber's tattoo, he did visit Israel in April, where he ranted on Twitter about how the paparazzi wouldn't give him the time or space to properly engage with the holy sites.

He has also led a backstage Hebrew prayer before a concert recently, as seen in this video.

Though Bieber is not yet 18, in several U.S. states minors can receive tattoos as long as they have parental consent. Let's hope, though, that Bieber pal Willow Smith doesn't get any ideas.

Justin Bieber praises 'amazing' Selena Gomez

The 17-year-old singer began dating the Disney starlet last year and while they refused to confirm their romance for months, Justin says he's smitten with Selena as she makes him "really happy".

He said: "Selena is ... ah ... she's amazing. She makes me really happy."

When a TV host in Taiwan said, "She makes us all very happy. So, she's a great woman," a grinning Justin replied: "Yeah."

As well as Justin gushing about Selena, the former 'Wizards of Waverly Place' actress recently opened up about their relationship saying she was glad to have found someone who could understand the pressures of a career in the limelight.

She said: "I'm blushing! He's been in my life for so long and it's just nice to have someone that understands what you're going through."

However, life hasn't always been so easy for the pair as Selena recently admitted she was "hurt" by Justin's fans who openly criticized her through social networking site twitter.

She explained: "It's hard. It hurts, it really does. I don't feel like I'm doing anything wrong. I've been best friends with him for a very long time. It does hurt my feelings a lot but I try not to focus on it. I have a strong family and great fans."
